So, I spent about 11 days with my family last week cruising around Dublin, Paris and London....and had an absolute blast!
It was so good to see Mom, Dad and Richard again, I was really starting to miss them, and am getting rather excited about going home in just 13 weeks now. Weeeeeee! We had a big talk about my 'future' and such, and if plans go ahead then I should be studying at UC for half a year when I get back, then next year I plan to move to Welly and study at Vic, and then at the end of that year I should be back in Ireland (and Europe in general) for a bit to go to Grainne and Brendan's wedding. Woooooooo. So, even though recession is the devil and I probably won't get enough money for it all....positive thinking.
Our trip was fantastic, but really full on...my feet are still adjusting to not walking all day. Haha. We spent a lot of it doing the big touristy site-seeing stuff (which I loved) as well as checking out some fantastic pubs! Here's a few things we got up to:
Dublin: The Guinness Factory, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Castle, Book of Kells
Paris: Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame Cathedral

[: A Rather Nice Weekend :]
So, I had a rather quiet weekend but it was pretty good.
Went round to Phoebe's on Friday and she sort of accidently baptised me. Here's the story:
Friday nights are good nights to dye hair, so we putsome bleach in mine then overdid it with purple. When it came to rinsing I had my head face foward in a sink and Phoebe rinsed my hair using a small milk bottle she found on the kitchen table. The rinsing went well, and the colour came out perfect.....however....in the morning Anne informed us that the milk bottle actually held her Holy Water >.< class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Hahahaha.
On Saturday we went to Dublin with Tom. Just had a very nice relaxed day wandering around and seeing the city. We spent a good long time around Temple Bar, went into so nifty shops, had lunch in a very reggae cafe. All good fun.
It snowed like you wouldn't believe on Sunday! Our whole household went outside and met up with our neighbours and had a snow-ball fight and built a snowman. Then we shuffled inside for a bickie and a nice cup o cha. It was really good. The snow was just pelting down all day! Everything is capped white!
I didn't do much else. Watched XMen all day and pretty much packed my bag last night. Only 2 sleeps until I see my family!! =D I'm so excited!
Wasting time at school today. Nobody is in (all the Irish students in my year are on work experience)

[: I'm so excited! :]
Well, just a few small things to share. Some big news is that Lisa talked to Grainne the other day and has decided that she is going to stay in Ireland to finish her leaving cert. So very lucky!
In other news, and I just wanted to share this for no real reason, I'm just really really excited coz I see my parents and Richard in only 9 days!
Nine days!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
And that's all I have to share. haha
